12 Mar East Marmara Development Agency Visits CATA Chamber
On December 2, 2012, CATA Chamber Board members hosted the delegation of East Marmara Development Agency including Adnan Yilmaz, Governor of Duzce; Ibrahim Ozcimen, Governer of Bolu; Ercan Topaca, Governer of Kocaeli; Mustafa Buyuk, Governer of Sakarya; Zeki Tocoglu mayor of Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality; Yakup Bilgin Kocal, Mayor of Yalova Municipality; Fahim Kilic, Chairman of Kocaeli City Council; Mucahit Kutlu, Chairman of Bolu City Council; Ali Riza Alkis, Chairman of Yalova City Council; Ayhan Zeytinoglu President of Kocaeli Chamber of Industry; Metin Buyuk President of Duzce Chamber of Industry; Celalettin Ozel,Yalova Chamber of Trade and Industry; Tolga Sahin, Deputy Secretary General of MARKA, Candan Umut, Deputy Chairman of MARKA Planning, Programming and Coordination Unit; Tolga Arslan Vice Consul General of Turkey in Los Angeles.
The meeting started with the opening remarks by CATA Chamber Secretary General, succeeded by presentation titled ‘California in the US Economy and Trade Relations with Turkey’. Next was an introductory presentation by Pacifica Institute Vice President on ‘Anatolian Cultures and Food Festival’, a Pacifica Institute organization which is also sponsored by CATA Chamber.
The attendees exchanged information and gained new insights in the field throughout the meeting moderated by VP of Cata Chamber. At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed on conferences by CATA Chamber officials to inform the investors from the cities in attendance about the business opportunities and possible financial aids in California.
